Nearly 500 Manulife Vietnam agents joined 10,000 people, including foreigners, in a marathon called the “Hanoi Run for Children” late last week to raise funds to treat children with cancer and heart diseases.
The annual event was orgnised by the Canadian embassy, the Viet Nam – Canada Friendship Association and the Ha Noi Union of Friendship Organisations and sponsored by Manulife.
In November agents and staff of the Canadian insurer took part in the Terry Fox Run to raise funds for cancer research in Viet Nam.
The company is also the main sponsor of the Manulife Da Nang International Marathon, providing over VND2.2 billion (US$100,000) this year for the three events. — VNS
