Hundreds of people in Kim Boi District in the northern province of Hoa Binh are expected to benefit from a new health centre funded by Korea’s Hanwha Life Vietnam Insurance Company Ltd.

This is the second health centre Hanwha has funded in Hoa Binh, spending over VND2 billion (US$100,000) on them.

Through its seven-year existence in Viet Nam, the company has funded public works in the province to the tune of VND8 billion.

In 2013-14 it financed a primary school in Cao Phong District and a pre-school in Kim Boi District.

In October 2015 it set up the other health centre in Cao Phong.

Given the underdeveloped condition of the local healthcare system, the centres are a huge contribution to upgrading health delivery in the area.

The company has also been involved in various other community-based activities across the country. VNS
