NHA TRANG (Biz Hub) — Team LH NVN of Lac Hong University beat LH DCN from the same university, in the final match of the
2014 Vietnam Robocon at Nha Trang City on May 11.
At the closing ceremony in the city, situated in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa, LH NVN was presented with VND50 million (US$2,380) and the Toyota award for its best technology solution. The team will represent Viet Nam at the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon), to be held in India in August.
LH NVN also sent US$1,400 to the soldiers working in Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago. The amount came from the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) for the winning team to, prepare for the contest in India.
Lac Hong University's LH 112 and University of Economic and Technical Industries' UNETID 21 were ranked joint third.
This is the 13th time Viet Nam Television (VTV) has organised the contest with the sponsorship of Toyota Motor Vietnam. — VNS
