HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Information and communications technology service provider FPT IS, a member of the FPT Corporation, has signed a contract to provide a management system for Lao Telecom worth more than US$2.5 million.

The Vietnamese company will supply a tariff system, user management and multiple sales services.
This is the second time FPT IS has co-operated with Lao Telecom, after a $1 million contract signed on April 29 this year.
Over the next 12 months, the company will examine, analyse and transfer data to instruct Lao Telecom how to implement the system.
Developed in 1999, the system has brought in revenue of nearly $35 million for FPT IS, including nearly $14 million from the international market.
Duong Dung Trieu, general director of the company, said: "FPT IS will continue to promote its system to new markets. We believe that the quality of the products and the implementation of our solutions will be able to conquer more foreign customers." — VNS
