This was revealed in the 2013 White Book on information and communications technologies issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications in the capital city on Monday.
The book showed that the number of fixed broadband Internet subscribers rose by 24.74 per cent, reaching 4.8 million. However, the number of 3G users declined from 16 million to 15.7 million after network providers wiped out registered subscribers who did not use the services.
