HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Telecom providers Viettel have introduced BankPlus service to help users make money transfers and online payments via mobile phones.

The service requires users to confirm two times when they do transactions on their phones. Users registering to use the service are provided with a PIN code to enable them use the system. Transactions only finish when users type a one-off password sent to their phone accounts.

If users enter the wrong passwords three times, the system will lock the service to prevent any abuses. Users will have to visit a bank to reactivate the service.

If users who have registered to use BankPlus give numbers to other people or delete numbers, Viettel will automatically erase their service registrations in the name of security.

At the moment, Viettel cooperates with nine banks to enable subscribers to transfer and receive money, pay telecom fee and bills, and do online shopping. — VNS
