HCM CITY (Biz Hub) – Diageo Viet Nam Ltd has donated more than 155 secondhand laptops and desktop computers to the Disability Research and Capacity Development (DRD) in HCM City.

Stephane Gripon, general manager of Diageo Viet Nam, said the laptops and computers would be presented to people with disabilities living in southern regions in disadvantaged conditions. The computers will help them increase their income.

The company also wants to help them learn about technology and other subjects.

The programme aims to erase discrimination in society.

DRD said they would receive applications for the equipment from people with disabilities up to the end of November.

Two years ago, the company also donated 77 secondhand computers to the DRD. -- VNS
