HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Telemor, a brand of the telecom group Viettel, now provides network service to remote East Timor villages and hamlets after a year of building infrastructure.

 

A total of 320 2G and 3G base transceiver stations and 1,600km of fibre optic cable now link up 96 per cent of the local population. Telemor has developed an equipment distribution system with 2,500 outlets. The company has 400,000 customers, leading the country's telecom market. It expects to generate US$17 million in revenue and $4 million in net profit this year. — VNS
