HA NOI (Biz Hub) — PetroVietnam Insurance Corporation (PVI) is co-operating with Viettel, the largest Vietnamese mobile network, to provide insurance services on mobile phones, known as Mobile Insurance.

The service allows customers to purchase insurance on their mobile phones via service number *966# or the PVI.One application on iOS and Android operating systems. The clients are offered different ways of payment, including scratch cards, accounts on Viettel's Bankplus, or direct payment upon receiving insurance certificates at home.

After successful transactions, Viettel's post officers will deliver insurance certificates for free to addresses provided by customers within 24 hours in Ha Noi and within 72 hours in other cities and provinces in the country.

In the first phase, Mobile Insurance will offer customers civil liability insurance for vehicle owners. In the future, PVI and Viettel will implement information technology solutions for the insurance industry to speed up the provision of services to customers. — VNS
