HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Siemens AG became the first multinational company to establish a project execution hub in Viet Nam for the completion of its Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) projects worldwide.

The hub made its debut here on September 30. In a statement, the Siemens Vietnam said, the country was selected among other ASEAN countries to host this hub, thereby offering skilled Vietnamese workers a great opportunity to receive further training and employment in one of the world's most complicated high-technology industries: gas and steam turbine power plants.

"Today, the number of young, dynamic and well-trained people in Viet Nam are increasing. With this hub, we are creating highly-qualified positions for this ambitious workforce who will contribute to the industrialisation of Viet Nam," Pham Thai Lai, Siemens Vietnam president and chief executive officer, said.

According to the company, employed Vietnamese engineers will undergo a training programme to gain theoretical knowledge at the Siemens headquarters in Germany and gain practical experience in various power plant project sites around the world.

After completing the training programme, they will be deployed abroad to implement Siemens projects in Asia and the Middle East. They will work in employee-friendly environments with opportunities for professional and personal development and receive remuneration and benefits packages that are compliant with international standards. — VNS
