HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has issued an official document No. 2200, asking the city and provincial departments of finance to examine and report on milk prices before March 10.

The ministry's Price Control Department sent an official document No 49 to the Market Control Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The document asked for cooperation in examining the milk price lists, in the enumeration of the adjusted prices and the examination of enterprises, organizations and those firms which are adjusting prices but not listing them for the state's control agencies.

MOF said that only four firms have registered to enumerate the adjusted prices of dairy products for children below the age of six since December 12, 2013. They are Mead Johnson Nutrition Co., Ltd, Nestle Vietnam Co., Ltd, Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company and FrieslandCampina Viet Nam Co., Ltd.

The FrieslandCampina Viet Nam Company registered with the MOF to raise the prices of its dairy products, including Friso and Dutch Baby, from February 25. — VNS
