HA NOI (Biz Hub) —The Nikkei 225 lost 94.51 points to close at 15,814.37 on January 7, while the Topix Index dropped 8.90 points to end at 1,283.25 in Tokyo. Also, the Straits Times Index lost 2.94 points to finish at 3,120.9 in Singapore.
Among those gaining, the Hang Seng Index rose 28.63 points to end at 22,712.7 in Hong Kong, while on the mainland of China, the Shanghai Composite Index added 1.61 points to finish at 2,047.32.
The two bourses in Viet Nam also ended higher, as the VN Index rose 1.02 points to 510.12, while the HNX Index added 0.64 points to end at 69.47 in the capital city.— VNS
