HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The majority of Asian shares closed up on Monday, but the news was not so good for investors in Ha Noi where the HNX Index lost 0.36 points to finish at 62.80. In the south of the country, the VN Index in HCM City climbed 2.40 points to close on 506.16.
In China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 12.11 points to end at 2,004.76, while the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 54.08 points to close at 21,416.50 . The Straits Times Index gained 22.12 points to finish at 3,235.4.
Tokyo shares also ended higher with the Nikkei 225 gaining 68.13 to end at 14,658.04 , while the Topix Index added 4.55 points to end at 1,216.53. — VNS
