HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Asian shares finished the week with a bang on Friday except for the Chinese benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index (SHCOMP), which closed down 9.39 points at 2,196.38.
The Hang Seng Index (HSI) led the charge with a 115.99 point gain to end at 23,696.28. Japan's Nikkei 225 added 16.12 points to reach 15,381.72, while its fellow Topix Index (TPX) edged up 2.26 points to end at 1,248.57 in Tokyo. The Straits Times Index (STI) rose 0.47 points to finish at 3,173.7 in Singapore.
In Viet Nam, HCM City's VN Index gained 2.10 points to end at 505.64, as the HNX Index added 0.21 points to reach 64.59.— VNS
