HA NOI (Biz Hub)— Shares on both national stock exchanges failed to post gains this morning.

In fact, the VN-Index on the HCM City Stock Exchange dropped 0.01 per cent to 504.64 points.

Trading value and volume totalled VND722.6 billion (US$34 million) and nearly 65.2 million shares.

Among the blue chips tracked by the VN30, six stocks retreated, while 11 others managed to rally. However, the index still slid 0.02 points to 564.87 points.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index further extended yesterday's loss by 0.15 per cent, reaching 64.26 points.

As over 26.3 million shares were transacted, the value of the trades touched VND203.5 billion ($9.5 million).

The HNX30, representing the performance of Ha Noi's top shares, dropped 0.26 per cent to 122.29 points. —VNS
