HA NOI (Biz Hub)– After a slight decline yesterday, the benchmark indices ended up advancing [S1] this morning.
On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index edged up 0.46 per cent to 505.86 points, with 110 codes advancing and 90 codes declining.
More than 68.45 million shares changed hands, with a total value of VND870 billion (US$41.42 million).
The VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's top shares by capitalisation and liquidity, rose 0.52 per cent to 566.38 points.
Gainers overwhelmed the losers by 21-3.
Hoa Phat Group (HPG), Hoa Sen Group (HSG) and PetroVietnam General Services Corporation (PET) each lost by VND100 ($0.0049) per share.
Gainers included PetroVietnam Drilling (PVD), Bao Viet Group (BVH), Vietinbank (CTG) and Military Bank (MBB).
Sacombank (STB) and Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG) also gained ground.
On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 0.23 per cent to 64.53 points, with more than 25.23 million shares exchanged. The total trading value reached VND193.85 billion ($9.23 million).
The HNX30-Index gained 0.4 per cent to 123.4 points. – VNS
