HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — A hi-tech agriculture and food industry fair (Hi-Tech Agro 2015) will be held in HCM City next month, providing opportunities for local firms to access advanced production technologies.

The fair, to be held at Le Van Tam Park in District 1 from December 2-6, will feature 280 booths of enterprises from HCM City and other cities and provinces as well as 20 booths from foreign exhibitors.

It will focus on displaying "green and safe" plantation and breeding products, urban agricultural products (ornamental fish and trees, high-tech farming models, bio-products), post-harvest technologies, agricultural machines and equipment, water treatment systems, processed products and others.

The fair, co-organised by the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of HCM City, the departments of Agriculture and Rural Development and Industry and Trade and the High-Tech Agricultural Park, also aims to promote Vietnamese agricultural brands and help attract investment to the agriculture and food processing industry. — VNS
