HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The annual Viet Nam Furniture and Home Furnishing Fair (VIFA Home) will return to HCM City from November 12-15.

Huynh Van Hanh, the standing vice chairman of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of HCM City, said 130 local and foreign firms in the wood processing industry will take part in VIFA Home 2015.

On display at 500 booths will be outdoor and indoor furniture, handicrafts and home decor, household appliances, household textiles and embroidery, garden decor, gifts, souvenirs, and support services, including equipment, materials, design and architectural consultancy.

To be held at the Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre, the fair also includes a dialogue between designers, architects and local producers of wood and interior decor products.

Hanh said more Vietnamese were buying local furniture products.

The fair will provide a good platform for producers, interior consultants, designers and distributors to exchange information and form linkages to create a complete chain from the factory to consumers in a bid to provide consumers with good quality products at reasonable prices.

The furniture and home decor industry's domestic sales are expected to reach US$2 billion this year, he said. — VNS
