After building the largest solar power plant project in Southeast Asia in Tay Ninh Province, Xuan Cau will continue with two solar power projects, Dau Tieng 5.1 and Dau Tieng 5.2, with total capital of more than VND7 trillion (US$304 million).
The new plants, located in Suoi Da Commune, were planned over 322.5ha with an estimated capacity of 450MW (225MW each).
Two years ago, Xuan Cau Holdings spent VND9.1 trillion on the three plants of Dau Tieng 1, 2, and 3, spanning more than 500ha.
Once completed, the five Dau Tieng plants will produce commercial power with a capacity of up to 1050MW.
As one of the provinces with leading radiation resources in the country, Tay Ninh has an average of 2,600 sunshine hours a year, with about 10 solar power plant projects put into operation with a capacity of 808MW, of which Dau Tieng 1, 2, and 3 plants take up 500MW. — VNS
