New Zealand’s University of Auckland has announced a partnership with the HCM City University of Technology (HCMUT).

They have signed an MoU for multiple long-term partnerships for training, research, student and staff exchanges, and undergraduate and postgraduate articulation arrangements.

The joint programmes will provide students at HCMUT the opportunity to gain advanced standing into either computer or data science programmes offered by the University of Auckland.

“I am enthused about the coming together of two of our countries’ top institutions, HCM City University of Technology, and the University of Auckland,” New Zealand consul general, Joseph Nelson, said.

The University of Auckland has had numerous educational initiatives in Viet Nam over the last 12 months.

It was ranked 81st in the world in the 2021 QS World Rankings and in the top 10 in the Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings that measure performance against the Sustainable Development Goals. — VNS
