Sunwah Innovations and the Business School of the University of Hong Kong on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to launch executive programmes.
Professor Hongbin Cai, dean of the business school, said: “The University of Hong Kong will launch an executive education programme in Viet Nam in areas such as digital transformation, leadership, business analytics, and fintech strategies, which have a huge demand for talent.
“The partnership between the University of Hong Kong Business School and Sunwah Group will also foster entrepreneurship in Viet Nam through organising a wide range of innovative events as well as instructional and cultural exchange programmes.”
Jonathan Choi, chairman of Sunwah Group, said his company is “pleased to close strategic partnerships recently with the University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to bring curriculums on innovation, commerce and commercialisation of research to Vietnamese universities, sponsor Vietnamese scholars to study in Hong Kong, and many more initiatives.
“We have launched two Innovation Centres in HCM City and Ha Noi over the past two years and the Sunwah International Innovation Platform to boost cross-border exchanges between start-up eco-systems and enhance young entrepreneurs’ access to market expansion opportunities.” — VNS
