Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life Vietnam have continued to coordinate with the HCM City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients to financially support patients in difficult circumstances in provinces and cities across the country.

The two have earmarked a total of more than VNĐ5 billion (US$205,474) for community and social activities in the six years since they entered into this partnership.

Last month Sacombank and Dai-ichi Life funded treatment and donated nutritious foods worth a total of VNĐ500 million ($20,550) to 25 child cancer patients treated at the HCM City Oncology Hospital, giving them the motivation and confidence to fight their ailment.

They also provided VNĐ600 million to fund free eye surgery for 353 cataract patients in Cà Mau, Bình Định and Quảng Nam provinces under the “Free eye surgery – Restores vision for people in difficult circumstances” programme.

In the first half of 2023 they had donated VNĐ1 billion to support 1,000 people with cataract in Kiên Giang, Lâm Đồng and Tây Ninh.

As leading enterprises in the field of consulting and providing superior wealth protection and accumulation solutions, in addition to business activities, Dai-ichi Life and Sacombank are always aware of their responsibility towards the community and society.

Besides the above programmes, they have also undertaken various other meaningful activities in past years such as donating houses to poor people, installing water purifiers at schools and giving scholarships to thousands of students.

They plan to be involved with such humanitarian activities over the coming years through their exclusive partnership. — VNS
