Novaland Group has recently given HCM City’s 115 Emergency Centre two emergency trucks worth VND5 billion (US$215,000) to help the cente enhance its capacity, especially during the resurgence of COVID-19.
The city’s 115 Emergency Centre, which operates through the hotline 115 to serve 10 million people, needs investment to develop facilities, equipment and human resources.
Emergency trucks are necessary to enhance the centre’s capacity. In the fight against COVID-19, the city’s 115 Emergency Centre plays an important role in transporting quarantined patients.
Novaland said the two emergency trucks were ordered and imported from Turkey, which meets all environmental and EU standards.
Each truck has modern equipment like the Swedish Breas ventilator and Polish Emtel monitor, and many other pieces of equipment from Germany and Italy.
Since the country was first affected by COVID-19, Novaland has poured nearly VND20 billion ($859,000) from the company’s budget and contributions from staff to the fight against the pandemic in HCM City and other neighbouring provinces.
Of the activities, Novaland presented health-care equipment to People’s Hospital 115 and gave 5,000 presents to people facing difficulties caused by COVID-19 in HCM City.
Novaland is a giant real-esate developer in the country with over 40 housing projects in HCM City. Along with housing projects, the company is now developing hospitality projects. During its 20 years of development, Novaland has been operating many corporate social responsibility programmes to support people living in disadvantaged conditions. — VNS
