HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Nestle Group expanded their nutrition programme for kids to another 15 schools in the central and central highlands provinces, announced the group on September 30.
The programme ‘Nestle Healthy Kids', launched in 2012 in co-operation with the National Institute of Nutrition, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Training, has installed computers, internet and studying materials to focus on nutrition education and physical activity for school-age children.
According to Nestle, getting active and acquiring healthy eating habits can help children achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.
The programme has taken place at 13 primary schools in four provinces and municipalities including Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Ninh Binh and Can Tho.
In the school year 2015-16, the programme expanded to another 15,000 students in in Da Nang, Lam Dong and Dak Lak, bringing the total of kids benefited from the program to 25,000 so far. — VNS
