HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietjet's newest aircraft landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on September 25, after flying from Toulouse, France.
The aircraft – an Airbus A320 with Sharklet wingtips – is the eighth delivery following the milestone agreement between Vietjet and Airbus for the purchase or leasing of 100 aircraft. The aircraft, with its advanced design that will help reduce fuel costs and reduce CO2 emissions, is expected to boost the carrier's efficiency and protect the environment.
With this addition to its fleet, Vietjet is now operating 27 new A320 and A321 aircraft, helping the airline to improve the quality of its service and further develop its network in Viet Nam and across the Asia-Pacific region.
To welcome the new member of its fleet, the carrier will give away 500,000 promotional tickets for booking from midday to 2pm.
Tickets on domestic routes and international connections to South Korea, Myanmar, Taiwan, Singapore, and Thailand can also be snapped up for prices ranging from VND199,000; VND299,000 and VND399,000 for travel from now until April 22, 2016. —VNS
