Mondelez Kinh Do has recently given out Kinh Do mooncake donations worth VND5billion (US$222.000) to frontliners and communities, bringing the total value of the company's contribution since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to VND13 billion ($570.000).
During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, despite many difficulties amid strict social distancing, Mondelez Kinh Do has joined forces with social organisations, including the HCM City Red Cross, the Ba Dinh Ha Noi Red Cross, Binh Duong Children's Fund, Amcham Hanoi, HCM City Women's Charity Association, Foodbank Vietnam and others to directly present Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to frontline doctors, medical staff, reinforcements and volunteers, together with children in shelters, children admitted to hospitals for Covid-19, infected households, and disadvantaged families in quarantine areas.
Hemant Rupani, general director of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam, said: “The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional culture of Vietnamese people for generations, with good meanings of love and sharing. As the central part of how families celebrate the season for years, Kinh Do's mission is to keep good memories and traditional values of the Mid-Autumn Festival passed on. I believe that the meaningful gifts of Mondelez Kinh Do to the community on this Mid-Autumn Festival will bring back sweet memories and help people overcome this difficult time together."
Believing that solidarity creates strength to help people overcome difficulties, Mondelez Kinh Do has carried out impactful activities to support the frontliners and communities. Previously, Mondelez Kinh Do contributed VND5 billion of food products and VND3 billion to the Vietnam Vaccine Fund for the fight against COVID-19. — VNS
