Bang Joo Electronics, an affiliate of South Korean Bang Joo Group, opened its second camera manufacturing plant in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on Thursday.
Capitalized at US$30 million, the new plant is spread over more than 5.3ha in the Ba Thien Industrial Zone (IZ). The company’s first plant, valued at $30 million, started operations in 2014.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, provincial People’s Committee chairman Nguyen Van Tri encouraged the Korean enterprise to further expand its operation in the locality.
In the first nine months of this year, 12 projects, based in Vinh Phuc’s IZs, began operation, lifting number of operational projects total up to 160, according to the provincial IZs Management Board. – VNS
