The Vietnam chapter of global independent professional network for business executives was inaugurated in HCM City last week.
Việt Nam becomes the 15th nation to join the Executive Global Network (EGN), and its first chairwoman is former EuroCham head Nicola Connolly.
“With membership of each group limited to 25 C-Level leaders, the group offers a level of exclusivity, knowledge and best practice sharing that cannot be rivalled by the other business groups in the city,” EGN Vietnam managing director Nick Jonsson said.
Việt Nam’s reception has been overwhelming with all 25 seats for the first group already taken by companies including CBRE, Damco, BAT, Diageo, Siemens, and Tetrapak.
“Each EGN group of executives will convene six times per year, with each meeting set around knowledge sharing based on the strictest confidentiality,” Jonsson said.
Its next meeting will take place in January with a focus on helping members find solutions to the challenges they face.
Examples of topics include the Challenge of Working with Distributors in Vietnam and Leadership Development: Building the Pipeline in Asia.
EGN has facilitated knowledge sharing networks since 1992 and is one of the largest global professional networks with 14,000 directors and executives from over 6,800 companies. — VNS
