HCM City international school gets new head

Renaissance International School in HCM City’s District 7 on Monday appointed a new head, Peter Gittins, who will move from Switzerland to take over on August 1.

With his background in heading a number of quality international schools in Asia and Europe, he is expected to maintain and further enhance Renaissance’s strong reputation.

Apart from a strong background in curriculums like the IB Diploma, IGCSE, IPC and the National Curriculum for England, his professional work has encompassed teacher recruitment, faculty appraisal, school design and construction, policy development and strategic planning.

Renaissance was established in 2007 and gained full Council of International Schools (CIS) accreditation this year.

It follows the National Curriculum of England and offers GCSE, SATs and IB diplomas. — VNS
