HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Saigon Co.op, owner of the Co.opmart supermarket chain, on July 20 opened a new outlet in Dong Thap Province's Sa Dec city, its 83rd supermarket of its Co.opmart chain and the second outlet in the province.
Co.op Sa Dec has a total area of 7,000 sq.m and was built at a cost of VND170 million (US$7.62 million).
It stocks more than 30,000 items, including fresh and processed foods, cosmetics, clothes and household utensils, 90 per cent of which are high-quality Vietnamese products.
The new outlet will also sell price-stabilised goods and act as a bridge for the province's specialties to enter the Co.opmart chain nationwide.
At the inauguration, the supermarket donated VND50 million ($2,242) to the Fund for the Poor.
To mark its opening, in addition to Co.opmart chain promotions, Co.opmart Sa Dec launched three promotions, including discounts of up to 50 per cent on hundreds of essential items, and a lucky draw with valuable prizes like a Honda Lead, and a Samsung fridge and washing machine. — VNS
