HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort won the "Best Five-Star Hotel" title on July 9 in Ha Noi.
The title is among the awards presented annually by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Viet Nam Travel Association Vietnam this year.
The Sun Group is the investor of the resort, which is located in the central city of Da Nang. Built in 2012 and designed by Bill Bensley, who is among the world's top five architects, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort combines Vietnamese aesthetic values and cultural characteristics with international luxury and sophistication.
The 180 rooms have open sea views and wooden furniture, and are decorated with silk embroidery, a highlight of the resort.
Since the opening of the resort in June 2012, it has become Viet Nam's leading resort, surpassing many other nominees.
The InterContinental Da Nang Sun Peninsula Resort is the hotel brand's first resort in Viet Nam. It has many luxury restaurants, high-quality services, an M Club and movie theatres, besides various entertainment services.
The resort's La Maison Restaurant was named among the "Top 10 best new restaurants in the world in 2015" by CNN, while the Harnn World Spa was named the "Best New Spa World in 2015" by World Spa Award. On June 21 this year, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was named "the resort that offers the most luxurious spa in Vietnam" at the World Luxury Spa Awards 2016 in Switzerland. — VNS
