German industrial safety solutions firm HIMA showcased a new boiler system at the International Society of Automation (ISA) Vietnam conference on Thursday.

Bringing the HIMA FlexSILon Boiler and Burner Control Systems (BCS) to Viet Nam is the company's first entry to the market, displaying a full-size mock-up of the burner process.

"Critical to power generation, processing, manufacturing and chemical plants are the boiler and burner control systems. However, traditional burner controls are often insufficient and out of date in times of increasingly strict safety standards and environmental regulations,” said Friedhelm Best, Vice President, Asia Pacific, HIMA.

“With the burgeoning economy and industrialisation of Viet Nam, and the inflow of more human capital-intensive manufacturing into Viet Nam, this is the perfect time for HIMA to introduce our Smart Safety solutions and best practices here," he said.

The FlexSILon BSC is an all-in-one smart safety application for burner management, combustion control, boiler protection and boiler control.

The one-day ISA conference at Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers in HCM City included workshops on innovative technologies and solutions to the pressing technical challenges of today. — VNS
