HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) on June 26 announced the appointment of Mai Van Binh, general director of MobiFone, as the company's chairman.
The sudden announcement was made even as the separation of MobiFone, the second-largest mobile network operator in Viet Nam, and VNPT was approved. The company will be managed by the Ministry of Information and Communications from July 1.
Binh, born in 1954, will replace Le Ngoc Minh who was working as deputy general director of VNPT and chairman of MobiFone. — VNS
