HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will add 2,717 flights on its 13 domestic and three international routes from June 15 to August 15 to meet peak demand during the summer.
With the increase, the carrier will be able to provide service for as many as 4.2 million seats, an increase of 14 per cent compared to normal capacity, and 17 per cent over the same period last year.
An average of 44 flights will be added on a daily basis, while during peak days, the airline will offer 397 flights per day, the company said in a press release.
Thirteen domestic routes will add flights include those between Ha Noi and Phu Quoc, HCM City, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Da Lat, Dong Hoi and Dien Bien; and between HCM City and Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Dong Hoi and Thanh Hoa; and the Da Nang-Hai Phong route.
For international routes, Ha Noi-Kuala Lumpur and HCM City–Kuala Lumpur and HCM City –Seoul will have more flights as well. — VNS
