State Treasury sells $8.3b in bonds in 2013

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam State Treasury sold more than VND175 trillion (US$8.3 billion) in government bonds in the first 11 months of 2013.

The agency has also disbursed VND200.7 trillion ($9.5 billion), which is 76 per cent of the government's capital planning allocation for 2013.

Additionally, the State Treasury has detected more than 70,000 cash outflows from state agencies and organizations which have not followed proper procedures and regulations. The Treasury has asked these organisations to submit necessary documents to allow the state to complete these transactions.

The agency has also halted payment of VND1,342 billion ($63 million) for spending that violates regulations. — VNS
