HA NOI (Biz Hub) ─ The Viet Nam Mobile Telecom Services Company (Mobifone) and Postal Corporation of Viet Nam (Vietnam Post) were committed to comprehensive co-operation, under an agreement signed in Ha Noi on Tuesday.
The two parties will join hands in supplying and promoting products and services, exploiting infrastructure for business development, developing distribution networks, and seeking customers.
They will prioritise using each other's services along with that of their affiliates, and mutually offer preferential prices. They will also establish connections associated with production and investment.
Vietnam Post Chairman Do Ngoc Binh told Vietnamnet online that the co-operation will help both sides increase competitiveness in the market, and this is compliant with Government directives to stabilise and develop the domestic post and telecommunications markets.
Mobifone General Director Mai Van Binh said he expected the two sides to work out detailed plans soon so as to achieve "outstanding results compared with what was reached in the past".
Minister of Post and Telecommunications Nguyen Bac Son said that the ministry will assist the companies to coordinate effectively, suggesting that they should regularly exchange information with the authorities to deal with any obstacles that emerge during the cooperation process. ─ VNS
