DA NANG (Biz Hub) — Jetstar Pacific Airline inked a contract to buy 10 Airbus A320 CEO Sharklets from Airbus at the Farnborough air show near London on July 12.
The low-budget airline said in a statement that the deal was part of the airline's development plan for 2016-20.
General Director of Jetstar Pacific Le Hong Ha said the deal marked a historical milestone for the airline company.
"The new contract will help the airline expand operations in Viet Nam and the international market as well as cut costs for the air service system of Jetstar's global operations," Ha said after the signing ceremony.
Ha said the airline would receive 10 new Airbus A320 CEO Sharklet aircraft in 2017.
As scheduled, Jetstar Pacific will receive four Airbus A320 aircraft in 2016 in another deal.
