The General Statistics Office (GSO) began its 2020 survey of businesses on April 1 to collect basic information for management and policy making.
Deputy General Director of GSO Nguyen Trung Tien said the survey would cover enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative unions and people’s credit funds that have been operating before January 1, 2020, along with production and business facilities of enterprises.
The collected information will help the management and formation of policies and plans on socio-economic and enterprise development across the country.
“The survey results will be used for various purposes, including building a national statistical criteria system, compiling the White Book on Vietnamese Businesses 2021, and evaluating the businesses’ readiness in applying information technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0,” Tien said.
The survey is conducted by online questionnaire. Enterprises are provided with an account and password to log in on thongkedoanhnghiep.gso.gov.vn, or interviewers will gather information via email or over the phone.
The survey will be carried out until May 30. — VNS
