Vinacomin makes push for 35m tonnes of coal

HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Viet Nam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) said they are making a last minute push to sell 3 million tonnes of coal in December to meet its yearly target.

The group's 2015 target was set at extracting 37.2 million tonnes of raw coal and selling 35 million tonnes.

According to Vinacomin, as of November, the group produced 34.7 million tonnes, up 2 per cent year-on-year, and sold 32.4 million tonnes, up 3.5 per cent.

During the reviewed period, the group's revenues were estimated at nearly VND98 trillion (US$4.3 billion), equivalent to 93.4 per cent of the yearly target and 3.3 per cent higher than same period last year. — VNS
