Vietjet has celebrated the launch of its newest route connecting HCM City to Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province in China at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport.

The event on Monday was graced by representatives from the Government and authorities of Shaanxi Province, airport officials, Vietjet leaders and passengers.

Following successful services to Shanghai and Chengdu, Vietjet now has direct flights between HCM City and Xi'an, a city renowned for its rich historical and cultural heritage.

The route, operating four round-trip flights a week, aims to foster deeper cultural and economic ties between the two cities and the neighbouring countries of Việt Nam and China, bolstering regional connectivity with Vietjet's flight network, the airline said.

To celebrate the launch, Vietjet offered a special promotional week with fares starting from zero đồng for all routes between the two nations.

These promotional fares are valid for flights from August 22 to May 25, 2025. Passengers can book these seats at www.vietjetair.com or via the Vietjet Air mobile app.

Passengers flying with Vietjet will enjoy a variety of authentic Vietnamese and international cuisines, including phở, bánh mì, and cà phê sữa đá (iced coffee) in addition to complementary Sky Care insurance.

Moreover, the Vietjet SkyJoy loyalty programme offers opportunities to win prizes, accumulate points and redeem rewards from Vietjet and over 250 leading brands.

The ancient Chinese capital of Xi'an is famed for its cultural treasures like the Qin Shi Huang mausoleum and its pivotal role as the starting point of the legendary Silk Road. It also has attracted the highest foreign direct investment (FDI) among cities in western China. — VNS
