HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Shares continued an upward trend this morning, finishing higher on both national stock exchanges.

On the HCM City Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 0.67 per cent to reach 512.29 points.

More than 64.376 million shares were traded, with a total value of VND835.7 billion (US$39.79 million).

Also, the VN30-Index, tracking the southern city's top shares by capitalisation and liquidity, gained 0.03 per cent to 571.9 points.

Twelve stocks managed to increase, while twelve others lost.

On the Ha Noi Exchange, the HNX-Index edged up 0.43 per cent this morning to 65.92 points.

The HNXFF-Index, composed of shares with a minimum free float rate of 5 per cent, was 65.99 points, up 0.46 per cent.

More than 37.7 million shares changed hands, with a total value of 279.37 billion ($13.3 million).

The HNX30-Index, composed of the 30 largest shares, rose 0.8 per cent to 125.3 points.— VNS
