HA NOI (Biz Hub) — There was good news for investors as Asian shares closed up across the region on Tuesday. In Ha Noi, the HNX Index gained 0.24 points to reach 62.58, while in HCM City, the VN Index added 2.73 points to close on 485.50.
China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 7.18 points to end at 1,965.45 and the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 100.82 points to finish at 20,683.01. Singaporean shares also edged higher, with the Straits Times Index increasing 23.16 points to 3,178.6.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 added 363.56 points to conclude trading at 14,472.90, while the Topix Index also gained 24.31 points to reach 1,196.89. — VNS
