The Vietnam-USA Society English Centers (VUS) has presented clothes, books, notebooks and daily necessities to students with excellent learning results at the Tak Ngo Primary School in Tra Linh Commune and Tra Van Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School in Tra Van Commune in Quang Nam Province.
These communes were severely affected by natural disasters in 2020.
Nguyen Ngoc Son, rector of Tra Van Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School, said that some students and family members of others had died in a landslide last year.
The communes in Nam Tra My District have poor living conditions. Schools face a shortage of books and workbooks. They also lack rooms to practise English listening skills. — VNS
