Le Thi Thuy Ngan, a student at Viet Nam National University HCM City (UEL), has been named the winner of the “CFO The Challenge IV 2018” contest.

First organised by the financial/banking group UEL in 2014, the contest poses challenges to students who major in economics, focusing on their knowledge, vision and skills in handling financial situations.

The contest has gained a reputation among the student community, attracting many reputable sponsors like Home Credit, FTMS, MBS and others.

This year’s topic of mergers and acquisition (M&A) attracted 1,500 students from 10 universities in HCM City.

Home Credit Vietnam, which has been the main sponsor for the event since 2014, also offered expertise consultancy to the contest.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, head of Home Credit Vietnam’s legal and late collections, who took part as expertise counselor, offered students interesting practical knowledge at the “M&A – Trends and Potential” workshop.

“The contest showed the outstanding quality of students in the banking and financial sector. This is a good sign for human resources training for the sector,” she said.

Besides being a responsible lender, Home Credit is known for its social responsibilities, especially in healthcare and education, and desire to improve the quality of life of the community. — VNS
