The Vincom Retail Joint Stock Corporation, a member of property developer Vingroup, has appointed Thai Thi Thanh Hai as its new chairwoman, starting on June 7.

The appointment was made on Tuesday during the first meeting of the company’s board of directors (BOD) for the 2018-23 period.

Vincom Retail held its annual shareholder meeting for 2018 on June 7. The newly-elected BOD consists of nine members, including Thai Thi Thanh Hai, Mai Thu Thuy, Tran Mai Hoa, and Nguyen Thi Diu. Other members of the board include Jeffrey David Perlman, Timothy Joseph Daly, Brett Harold Krause and Phan Thanh Son.

Vincom Retail’s BOD also confirmed that Daly, Krause, and Son are independent members of the board.

Prior to Hai’s appointment as Vincom Retail chairwoman, Mai Thu Thuy was the head of the company’s BOD from March 2018. — VNS
