Vietjet will offer up to 400,000 tickets priced zero Vietnamese dong during the golden hours from noon to 2pm between Wednesday and Friday, the airline announced on Monday.

The discount is part of Vietjet’s largest promotion of the year called “Free up your summer with Vietjet.” The discount will be applicable to all international flights (except the Ha Noi-Osaka route) for travel between August 1 and December 31, 2018.

The flights offering discounted fares include those from Viet Nam to Seoul, Busan and Daegu (South Korea); Hong Kong; Kaohsiung, Taipei, Taichung and Tainan (Taiwan); Singapore; Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai (Thailand); Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia); Yangon (Myanmar) and Phnom Penh and Siem Reap (Cambodia).

Late last month, Vietjet announced it would launch a direct flight between Ha Noi and Osaka in Japan on November 8 this year.

The move is expected to further boost tourism and trade integration between the two countries and across the region.

Using Vietjet’s new and modern A320 aircraft, the Ha Noi-Osaka direct flight will operate daily with a flight time of more than four hours one way.

Vietjet’s new service to Osaka will take the airline’s total number of international routes to 45, in addition to the 38 domestic routes, Vietjet said in a statement. — VNS
