Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup’s Vincom Center Landmark 81 won the 'Best Retail Development' award at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2019 in Bangkok.

The building was also nominated for the region to participate in the International Property Awards (IPA) in December in London.

To win the regional award, Vingroup’s 81-storey skyscraper – the tallest building of Viet Nam – was judged to have a unique design, provide high quality services and utilities and commits to offering sustainable solutions for socio-economic development.

The building is a symbol of luxury lifestyle in HCM City and is also known for having Southeast Asia’s highest observatory, Viet Nam’s largest in-house ice-skating rink and Viet Nam’s biggest cinema.

The building is also home to 100 top domestic and international brands, with flagship stores from leading fashion brands like Dior, Armani and Adidas.

The Landmark 81 SkyView Observatory – introduced in late April 2019 – has become a top destination in Viet Nam as it offers a 360-degree view of HCM City at a height of nearly 400 metres.

Constructed on the top three storeys of the building, the observatory allows visitors to touch the clouds in the open-space area SkyTouch, parachute at the height of 461.2 metres in VR simulation and enjoy coffee in the clouds.

Vincom Center Landmark 81 represents the Vietnamese nation’s desire to conquer new heights.

The building is run and managed by Vingroup’s arm Vincom Retail JSC.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards 2019 (APPA 2019) are part of the worldwide International Property Awards.

APPA is held annually to honour the best real estate and housing projects in the region and in the world.

At this year's event held on May 19 in Bangkok, Thailand, there were 45 awards that were judged by 80 independent specialists and professional councils regarding design, quality, services, creativity, uniqueness and sustainability of the project. — VNS
