Frieslandcampina Viet Nam’s Fristi brand is co-operating with the National Children’s Council to carry out a programme called “Along with Fristi to Protect the Environment” this year.

The programme is being carried out in two phases: from May 16 to September 30, and from October 1 to December 15, in 12 provinces: Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Ha Nam, Lang Son, Vinh Phuc, Bac Giang, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Duong, Thai Nguyen, and Cao Bang.

In the programme, which aims to improve students’ knowledge about environmental protection, students will collect empty used Fristi milk packages in exchange for a basketball hoop worth more than VND1 million (US$42.8) that will be provided by the company.

The programme plans to provide participating provinces a children’s playground worth VND30 million each if at least 30 schools in each province collect milk packages for in exchange for the basketball hoops.

All money from selling the collected empty Fristi milk packages will be presented to schools in the programme to carry out many other activities for their children.

At the launching ceremony for the programme at Nha Nam Primary School in Bac Giang Province’s Tan Yen District last Thursday, Fristi handed out more than 700 gifts to students.

“Fristi’s business strategy, along with environmental protection, is to contribute to sustainable development,” a representative of the brand said. — VNS
