Hundreds of Vietnamese sellers have participated in Amazon Prime Day 2022, the most prominent Prime Day event for Amazon's selling partners worldwide, most of whom are small and medium-sized businesses.
Prime members purchased more than 300 million items worldwide during the event last week, equivalent to 100,000 items per minute.
Customers spent over US$3 billion on more than 100 million small business items included in the Support Small Businesses to Win Big sweepstakes.
"Prime Day is a celebration of our Prime members, who look forward to this event every year, and we're thrilled to have delivered incredible savings to them once again," said Doug Herrington, CEO of Amazon Worldwide Stores.
The campaign's best-selling Vietnamese products include kitchen dining items, made-in-Vietnam beauty products and home decor.
In early July, Amazon organised the "2022 Prime Day Summit" in HCM City & Ha Noi, attracting more than 1,000 Vietnamese selling partners to join.
During the events, Amazon introduced the business strategy for Prime Day and recommended optimised solutions of advertising tools to boost sales during Prime Day 2022.
Nguyen Ngoc Dung, chairman of the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM), said: "Since our partnership with Amazon Global Selling, we have seen many Vietnamese businesses who successfully expand their business globally through Amazon."
"This is a good signal for the cross-border e-commerce of Viet Nam. Prime Day Summit, which provides a series of training courses and information for local selling partners to leverage, and shows the effort of Amazon in the Viet Nam market to capture this business." — VNS
