Viet Nam’s footwear maker Biti’s has opened its first official store in the Cambodian capital city of Phnom Penh in a bid to bring high-quality Vietnamese footwear products to Cambodian consumers.
The outlet opened on Saturday in the presence of Vietnamese Ambassador Vu Quang Minh and Under-Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce Sam Sereirath.
With annual economic growth averaging at 7 per cent, Cambodia’s consumer demand for many products is growing strongly.
Biti’s products have already been sold in Cambodia since the early 2000s through a local company and have won local consumers’ confidence thanks to their high quality, attractive designs and affordable prices.
Being aware of the potential for long-term business, Biti’s decided to establish a subsidiary company in Cambodia and open an official store in Phnom Penh.
Biti’s currently employs more than 8,200 people, has four factories and seven business branches, manages 173 marketing stores and has more than 1,000 distribution outlets across Viet Nam. — VNS
